American Cruise-Aid Logistics is comprised of talented, experienced professionals with a variety of backgrounds but one thing in common — enthusiasm for doing what it takes to get the job done.
Dreams really do come true… Hailing originally from Copenhagen, Denmark, with a degree from Copenhagen Business School, Janne came to the United States in 1993 and amassed over 15 years’ experience in the freight forwarding industry, specializing in providing logistics services to the cruise lines and one day dreaming of what brought about in 2004, the formation of American Cruise-Aid Logistics Inc.
In 2014, more dreams were realized when the aptly titled “Cruise Queen of Copenhagen” took her rightful place in her motherland and ACAL’s sister company Cruise-Aid Logistics Europe Aps was born. The following year, Janne also celebrated another lifelong dream, her first official 4th of July when, swelled with pride, she took the oath and became a United States citizen.
When she is not reigning over all the land and the US office, Janne enjoys time with her family and friends and holds one other title that she believes more precious than any other. Those who know her well would say “CAKE BOSS”, but that one’s already a hit reality TV show, no it’s “MOTHER”, Janne has 2 children who mean the world to her and someday she hopes will want to be heirs to the Queen’s throne!

After living her entire life in Iowa, Miranda moved to Florida in late 2014 to escape the cold weather in Des Moines. She earned her Bachelor of Accounting from Iowa State University and has held diverse roles in both accounting/finance positions as well as in human resources throughout her career. As our Director of Finance and Operations, Miranda oversees all aspects of our Port Canaveral office.
Miranda and her boyfriend love to travel as often as possible and host travelers in their home regularly. Being very new to Florida’s endless summers, Miranda is enjoying the warm (hot) weather, beach, sea turtles, rockets, and even the alligators! She holds true to her Iowa roots and has never embraced a professional sports team since there isn’t one in Iowa. To this day she cheers for her alma mater with the passion only NCAA fans know. Go Cyclones!

Jay is one of our oldest…sorry…longest-tenured employees. A former United States Marine, where he began his love of logistics in military transportation. He then moved on to 14 years with FedEx, where he started at the bottom and worked his way up wearing many hats and gaining a diverse background in domestic and international shipping as well as sales and management knowledge. Jay began much the same way with ACAL, starting as a logistics coordinator and now responsible for daily operations at American Cruise-Aid Logistics and we’re glad to have him. (He still wears a lot of hats here also)
A motorcycle enthusiast, he annually coordinates the High Seas Rally, the world’s only biker rally at sea! Aaarghh!
Jay enjoys spending his spare time with family and friends, especially his three daughters and one furry son, an English bulldog named Mikey.
